Children are aware of their privacy in a physical sense but many are unaware that websites leave cookies on their devices and this can influence digital marketing towards them. Early education on this topic empowers them to remain vigilant and that they are not anonymous when using the internet. Many social media science pages have now turned into clickbait sites which will lure children in and then spam them with ad’s and trackers. Unfortunately this is the ‘cost’ of a ‘free’ internet which many are unaware of.
