Edmodo ties together all the knowledge and functionality of Social media, Docs, Sheets, Commenting, quiz’s ect. all into one app that can be used safely in the classroom.

Students are surrounded by social media outside of the classroom and policing it all for an in school environment can be hard. “Edmodo encourages both student engagement and responsible learning when particular Edmodo features are employed”(Balasubramanian, 2014). The resources students find most useful are the extra communication levels with forum, discussions and online connections with other students. Utilising a system that works very well for time wasting (Facebook) and transferring it into an educational tool could promote them to use websites more criticallly.
