BYOD is shown to have a positive impact on student learning but it may be hard for some parents and teachers to understand how it can be utilised correctly in the classroom.

K-12 Blueprint is a toolkit of smaller resources about BYOD framework and the pros and cons. “Today’s students have never experienced a world without internet and have only seen technology becoming increasingly engaging over their lives” (Swan Christian Collage, 2012, p.4), parents and educators whom are typically digital immigrants may not relate with technology in the same way. Staying informed about BYOD in education can aid the transition process.
